Vanderslice Family Tree

Welcome to my Vanderslice genealogy site.

I am a Vanderslice and began work on my family tree focusing primarily on my direct line of Vanderslice relatives. My work is outlined on this site. I periodically add to this site and would welcome any additional branches that directly ties into this branch of the Vanderslice family.

Chester County Historical Society

I'm still looking for information on the father of William A. Vanderslice born June 1855. William's father died as a result of the Civil War. Since I don't live in the area, I'm unable to visit the Chester County Historical Society to do any research on William and his father.

Famous Vanderslice's

In researching Vanderslice history and the family tree, I've come across some famous Vanderslice's in one way or another. A few of note are:

John Vanderslice - Current day musician (www.johnvanderslice.com)

Henry Vanderslice - Sheriff of Berks County (1774) and first person to read Declaration of Independence for the citizens of Reading PA on the steps of the courthouse (July 8 1776)

Jim Vanderslice - Former IBM and Dell executive

Please help by identifying others. After compiling a list, I'll create a section on the Vanderslice Family Tree site.
